FAQ – Some answers to questions you may have
What areas do you cover?
Bestwood. Bestwood Village, Daybrook, Sherwood, Arnold, Mapperley, Woodthorpe and Top Valley.
If your area is not in this list please do not hesitate to contact me as I may still be able to help you. If you live more than three miles from me I do ask for an additional 0.50p per mile.
What about holidays?
Rates are charged at time-and-a-half for bank holidays and double for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day
How do I pay?
My preferred method of payment it bank transfer but if this is not possible I will accept cash but do not accept cheques.
When do I pay?
Upon booking a 20% deposit is required to secure your place and the remaining of the balance is due two weeks before the booking is due to commence.
If you are having regular walks or visits then you can pay monthly.
Where do you store my keys?
Your keys will be stored in a secure safe and labelled and coded in a way so that only I know who they belong to.
Is my data safe?
Your data will be securely stored at all times and I hold your information for business purposes only so that I am able to complete my job in the best way possible. I will never share your data with any third parties and you have the right under the Data Protection Act to have a copy of any information held on you.
How far ahead should I book?
As far ahead as possible to book your place as at some times of the year it can get very busy but I will always try and accommodate for short notice bookings where I can.
What happens in an emergency?
Whether it is an emergency with your pet or your house I will always take the best course of action in the situation and try to contact you as soon as possible. I will always make sure to have all the necessary information before a booking starts in the event of an emergency.
What happens if you lose keys?
I have never lost a customer’s keys before and will always advise that the customer has a neighbour or someone local with a spare set of keys in the rare event of this happening. If I am unable to gain access to a spare set of keys I will call a locksmith and pay all charges to ensure that I get to your pet as soon as possible.
